Devlog 2 : Movement Fixes Update
Devlog Update: Movement Fixes
This month has marked a crucial phase, especially after a hiatus due to school commitments. Now that I've resumed game development, it's time to fine-tune the core mechanics before moving ahead.
On the first of December, we've been laser-focused on refining the player's movement mechanics and ensuring they operate seamlessly as possible. If you're curious about the game's earlier state, you can catch up by checking out the playlist on my channel [link].

Without further ado, here's what's been fixed and updated:
- Movement: Footstep sounds now added.
- Jumping: Rectified inconsistent jump heights, though still fine-tuning for balance. Introduced jump and landing sounds.
- Crouch: Included crouch footstep sounds and restrictions when under low ceilings.
- Vertical Wallrun: Integrated climbing and jumping sounds for enhanced experience.
- Dashing: Implemented visual effects and sounds, now linked to the Stamina system.
- BulletTime: A slow-motion effect introduced, gradually depletes Stamina. Player speed increased with added audio and visual cues.
Player Stamina System: One of the key highlights. The Stamina system is not just for movement but also for abilities like Dash and BulletTime. While more abilities are in the pipeline, for now, my focus is on balancing these two and refining them during proper playtesting. Core features take precedence at this stage.
This past week, I've been diving into refining Weapon Models, modifying the damage system, and enhancing projectile mechanics for grenades and such. Additionally, I've revamped the inventory system to accommodate equip/unequip animations, among other improvements. More updates on these tweaks coming soon.
Stay tuned for the next update!
